FAQ

F.A.Q

Heading out to the desert? Here are a few tips to keep in mind.

  • Ensure you have a full tank of gas – enough to get to and from Lincoln County. The nearest gas station to Basecamp is 15 miles away and it is possible demand may overwhelm supply.

  • Do not speed. You will get a ticket.

  • Do not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Be especially careful driving at night. It gets very dark in the desert and artificial light is limited.

  • Firearms are strictly prohibited. Anyone carrying a firearm will be barred entrance from the event or immediately removed from the site.

  • The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.

  • Wear closed-toe shoes or boots. The ground near Basecamp has been cleared; however, further out, the desert floor is harsh and home to numerous species of snakes and scorpions.

  • Tickets will be available on-site, however advanced purchase is recommended to reserve your space.

  • Be sure to hydrate – the desert is hot and dry. Two bottles of water will be provided with each festival day ticket. We also recommend bringing an insulated water bottle for regular fill up.

  • Food and drink will be available on-site for additional purchase. Each day ticket comes with a $10 food voucher. Food trucks will be open from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Breakfast foods along with sundry items will be available for campers starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

  • Bring extra cash. While ATM service will be available on-site, be prepared for some food trucks and vendors to run a cash-only business.

  • Wifi and cellular service may be spotty. Basecamp organizer are working to provide strong wifi service, however event goers should be prepared for limited coverage.

  • Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly and not dog or human aggressive. A small pet relief area will be provided on-site. Please bring water for your pet. All dogs are required to be on a leash.
