Both pre-event and on-site ticket purchaseoptions are available.

Event admission fees are designed to assist organizers in covering infrastructure expenses including security, emergency personnel, restroom facilities, water stations, wifi access and more.

How much are tickets?

Individual ‘Storm’ Area 51 Basecamp day passes are $51 per person and include parking, two bottles of water, a $10 food truck voucher and commemorative lanyard. Tickets purchased in advance of Sept. 20-21 include an exclusive ‘Storm’ Area 51 keepsake poster.
Individual tent sites are $50 per night.
RV parking is $150 per night.
Power hookups are available upon request at additional charge for 20 or 30 amp. Water and septic hookups are not provided.
Please note: Individuals purchasing tent sites or RV parking are required to purchase individual day passes as well.

40 years after its release, The Thing is still revered as a fantastic alien horror film to this day, which is wonderful when you compare it to its contemporary reception at its days upon its release. It was stomped on by critics like policemen in a student protest so hard that it almost killed the director, John Carpenter’s, career.

John Carpenter said that The Thing was machine gunned by hails of negative reception because it was the complete opposite of other films like ET: The Extra Terrestrial, another alien film that is adventurous, light hearted, and dramatic.
